Employment Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License; assumes responsibility for maintaining current license of 6 months or more with no moving violations and safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Records Check (CORI) and National Fingerprinting Based Criminal Background Check
  • Prior experience working with developmentally disabled individuals (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and respectfully with individuals, other care providers, family, and community members
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide clear and accurate Documentation
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to meet the needs of individuals
  • Demonstrated physical capacity to assist individuals with mobility impairments as needed
  • Ability to attend pool with individuals, up to and including lifting and swimming as needed
  • Ability to complete and maintain Medication Administration (MAP) (Adult Program only); training/certification, First Aid, CPR, CPI within 3 months of employment
