Residential Services

Girl enjoying her readerOur sprawling, 45-acre campus and beautifully maintained residences provide the perfect ‘home away from home’ for students in need of support beyond that of a day program. The primary focus of the residential program is to teach basic skills of everyday living by setting goals that encourage and lead to the highest possible level of independence.

In harmony and conjunction with what our students learn in their classrooms and therapeutic sessions, our residential counselors support students in applying the knowledge and skills they have gained to their day-to-day life experiences. Their daily living, self-care, domestic, community, recreational and leisure skills are greatly enhanced as a result of the personalized, multi-model, sensory based, synergistic approach taken by the comprehensive team of professionals and support staff of Crystal Springs School.

We strongly believe in family involvement and offer on-campus accommodations for families and loved ones who may be visiting from out of town.

Whether enjoying a back yard barbeque, training for their next Special Olympics competition, catching a game at Fenway, attending a school dance, or simply going out to eat, our students’ social lives are always in full swing! Our residential counselors and recreation aides truly enjoy supporting and spending time with the children and young people in their care, often developing deep and lasting friendships.
