Behavioral & Medical Services
Behavioral Development
Crystal Springs Board Certified Behavior Analyst ensures that each individual in the Adult Program receives a formal behavioral evaluation every five years, along with a Service Needs Assessment. Specialized behavior support plans are developed and implemented as necessary. Our on-staff Behavioral Specialist provides ongoing training to staff members in the proper technique, documentation and reinforcement of the support plans. Our Behavioral Specialist also monitors the progress of the programs in place and ensures compliance with any psychiatric component. Monthly clinics are held to review progress and modifications are implemented as necessary.
Medical Services
Individuals in the Adult Program are encouraged to choose their own Primary Care Physicians, Dentists and other medical professionals they will be visiting in the community. With guidance from a Residential Supporter or Supervisor, they will fill their prescriptions at the pharmacy of their choice. The oversight, documentation and administering of medications are provided by staff members certified in the Medication Administration Program (MAP). Nursing support is available 24 hours a day by a Registered Nurse, with Nursing Case Management oversight for every residence. Crystal Springs schedules, transports and accompanies individuals to medical appointments, labs and clinics in the community as necessary.
